La Contenta Middle School Project Report

Starting our project off, we must go through a variety of steps to complete the project. The project that we have chosen to do is a classroom lesson. Throughout the whole project we will take pictures. The first step to completing this project, is to find a partner. The partner I have chosen is Meagan Lowe. The second step is talking to the teacher. The teacher we chose is Mr. Fuentes at La Contenta Middle School. Following this step, we must discuss with our parents and the teacher the date and time we will go into the classroom to do the presentation. Air pollution is not a problem that we can fix overnight, so we want to start educating younger generations on how we can reduce it. For example, instead of, later in their life, buying a gasoline car, students can maybe think about buying an electric car; or how about not taking a car at all. We live in a community where almost everything is either in biking distance or walking distance, so we can always choose one of those options. We can also find different ways of powering factories. While we are researching our project, we are trying to find ways of improving air pollution. As I have already stated this will not be an issue that is going to be immediately solved. It is a problem that will take lots of research and time but we are informing a future generation that can help solve this problem. It will help our health, especially in larger cities, by clearing the pollution allowing us to breath fresh air. Additionally, it will help people with asthma allowing them to breathe easier. In conducting this project, we face many problems. One problem that is already occurring is the fact that we both are super busy so we are having to “look under rocks” to find ways to meet up and work on the project. Another problem we could possible run into is finding incorrect information. To fix these problems we will have to find ways around our busy schedules and we will need to look at various informational web sites and make sure that they are reliable sources.
