The general purpose of a flyer is to persuade people to join their gym. Each company is promoting themselves through different colours, layouts and text. The purpose is to promote a professional company image so the general public will be attracted to join the gym and therefore the gym receives income. All three flyers contain a logo for brand recognition and an address to promote a professional company image. Fit for Free and LA Fitness have a map incorporated on their flyers which inform people about their location. This results in achieving the purpose of informing the general public. In addition, target audience will be able to identify the company image hence fulfilling the purpose of brand recognition. However the David Lloyd’s small logo is located at the bottom right corner of the flyer which is a disadvantage because people won’t be able to identify the company. LA Fitness flyer’s logo is positioned at the bottom right in an unnoticeable size and no logo is placed on the back of the flyer which makes it difficult for people to identify their gym so fails to promote brand recognition. In addition, if the logo is not in a prominent position the reader will not be informed on who designed the Flyer thus not achieving the purpose of to persuade. All of the flyer logos are high quality to promote a professional company image. Positioning of the logo is an extremely important factor when designing a flyer as it is the key to people valuing the company brand. Equity is the key value of a company’s brand beyond their physical property like buildings and equipment. To develop strong brand equity the company have to develop a high level of brand awareness.
