The capitalists learned the source of all wealth was the workforce; it was the labor that produced the goods and services that are sold for profit. Therefore the capitalists learned to control the labor in order to obtain the wealth. The Industrial Revolution produced many manufacturing factories. Manual labor was needed to maintain the manufacturing of goods. The increase of factories was the cure for unemployment. However, due to the high number of immigrants there was a competition for jobs. Soon the laborers were willing to work at any price under any circumstances as long as they had a job.
