I remember watching Macbeth taking a knee to get the crown placed upon his messy head. He rejoiced and ordered everyone to feast. I couldn't help but notice how hellish he looked. Lady Macbeth looked a little more dull than usual also. Her eyes were soulless. I watched across the room as she gave him a peck on the lips. She continued to say something in his ear, but the room was filled with the sound of knives and forks scraping plates that I couldn’t make out her words. My eyes followed them as they had taken a seat at the table. All of a sudden Macbeth froze in fear. He stared blankly into the air as if it was someone there. Abruptly, he starts to scream at the top of his lungs in rage. Lady Macbeth came over to him and calmed him down. Once Macbeth was at ease she excused herself to the kitchen. Something wasn’t right between those two. With the rumors going around the kingdom this dinner just proved them right. If they could kill their own king, a man he personally fought for, then he could kill anyone. There’s no telling how many people he has killed. The things he screamed, made me know for sure that whatever spirit he was talking to he knew personally. As the dining room was overcome with conversations again, I got up from my seat and continued into the kitchen. As I quietly walked in, Lady Macbeth was facing the wall. I heard whispering like she was having a conversation with someone.
“Excuse me, madame.”, I said to her. She turned around slowly until her soulless eyes met mine.
