Lady Macbeth Research Paper

In the beginning, there was Macbeth who was a soldier that fought in a war for his country. Macbeth got a visit from three witches who gave a prophesy that he is going to be thane of Cawdor then later on be King over Scotland. Lady Macbeth receive a letter from her husband Macbeth about how he might be King in the future but something stand in the way. Lady Macbeth said that they need to “that tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here” meaning that if she was a man that she will fight to be King of the kingdom. Macbeth had a dream where he had a handle of a dagger in his hand then the bell ring. Macbeth came back to the castle saying “I have don't the deed. Didst thou does not hear a noise?” and Lady Macbeth was like “I heard the owl scream and

Macbeth and Lady Macbeth started to have visions and hallucinations about their body count that keep on growing. For example, when Macbeth was about to killed King Duncan he saw a floating dagger in the air around him. Another is when the ghost of Banquo sat down in a chair during the feast that Macbeth was having. The well hardheaded Lady Macbeth started having visions while is was sleepwalking and that she is started to believe that her hand have blood on it and she can't wash the blood away the blood with water. With the visions and hallucinations Macbeth see them as a supernatural signs of their guilt. The next motifs in Macbeth is violence. Macbeth is very famous for all the violence that it have on it. For example the battlefield which Macbeth and Banquo was with wading in blood. Another example is Macbeth and Lady Macbeth who had bloodstain hands throughout of the entire play. The last example is the series of murders that happen during the play liked the one with Duncan, Banquo, Lady MacDuff and MacDuff son which end in having blood everywhere in the play. The last motifs that play a huge part in Macbeth was prophecy. Without prophecy in Macbeth all the stuff that happen in the play will not had come to pass because it the main reason everything happen in Macbeth. The witches was giving prophecy to Macbeth such as he going to be thane of Cawdor and later on become King of Scotland. They also give Banquo a prophecy saying that his future heirs will be Kings and Macbeth should be aware of what MacDuff got plan for him in the future. The stuff that the witches said did come to pass but some of it didn't come to pass because of what Macbeth did to Banquo and what Lady Macbeth did to her husband. Still, what left of the deliberately ambiguous whether some of the prophecies actually was self-fulling by the character in the play. For example, whether Macbeth made himself to be king or is fated to be king.
