By murdering Duncan, Macbeth has completely disrupted the chain of command and thrown the country into chaos. Furthermore, Duncan is an innocent man who has done nothing to deserve
“One of the methods of manipulation is to inoculate individuals with the bourgeois appetite for personal success.” - Paolo Freire Many contest the nature of Macbeth’s murderous actions in Shakespeare’s Macbeth—whether they were committed in a sound state of mind or controlled by external influences. [Comparison] Macbeth’s actions were executed in a mindless state where the only factors that could determine his future deeds were his prophecies from the witches and his manipulative wife. Both gain Macbeth’s trust, though the witches exploit his indivisible faith in the supernatural, whereas Lady macbeth utilizes her womanly qualities as his wife and his equal to gain control of Macbeth’s conscience.
The need for Macbeth’s trial stands due to the given evidence for the charges against humanity, murder, and treason. He ruthlessly killed King Duncan, Banquo, and Macduff’s family. Their deaths are in vain if we do not indict him. Macbeth needs a prosecution because he willingly took the immoral path of aimless slaughter and selfish ambition. Even if Lady Macbeth pressured Macbeth, he killed King Duncan impelled by his own selfish ambition and lethal thoughts.
Lady Macbeth is the Real Murder People can be persuasive to do thing based on others influences. These people are typically close to them and may even be related. In the play Macbeth no is closer to each other like Lady Macbeth and Macbeth. And even though people are responsible for our actions, they may not always be responsible for what made them do those actions. Although in the play Macbeth many people think that Macbeth is the one who is responsible for all the murders it is truly Lady Macbeth because of the influence that she puts on Macbeth and the verbal torment she gave him before murdering King Duncan.
In addition, When Gentlewoman mentions “ I have seen her rise from her bed, throw her nightgown upon her, unlock her closet, take forth paper, fold it, write upon ’t, read it, afterwards seal it, and again return to bed; yet all this while in a most fast sleep”(5.5.4-9). This demonstrates that Lady Macbeth is characterized by the power of guilt owed to the fact that she forced Macbeth to kill Duncan. To add with how Lady Macbeth wanted Duncan dead, Macbeth is no different. When Macbeth mentions that he is guilty by saying "Of all men else I have avoided thee. But get thee back.
Those who are weak often manipulate others to do the things they cannot. Shakespeare's Tragedy of Macbeth describes two characters’ desire for power, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Throughout the play, Lady Macbeth displays many facets to her personality. She is such a diverse and complicated character that it is hard to know if she is truly evil or weak. However, no matter how strong and evil Lady Macbeth appears to be to others, her weakness is clearly apparent when she is alone.
People are responsible for the consequences of their actions. When people are not responsible for their own actions, they tend to blame others for their problems. The lack of personal responsibility makes us as human beings, less responsible. The more you lack personal responsibility, the more you make excuses in order to get out of your own personal problem. In the story, Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, it shows Macbeth being a person that has little to no personal responsibilities.
Macbeth is More Responsible In Shakespeare’s play “Macbeth” Macbeth is seen to be as the one responsible for King Duncan’s murder, as Macbeth’s hands were the ones that actually killed King Duncan. However, while Macbeth may be thought of as ultimately responsible for his actions, but there are other influences that actually show on a closer inspection of the text, the three main influences to his decision are Lady Macbeth, himself, and the witches. This is (in my opinion) convincing evidence that Macbeth is completely responsible for the murder of King Duncan.
Lady Macbeth was the blame for the murders, and the first reason is because she called evil upon herself. In the play she called evil upon herself when the text states, “Come, you spirits that tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, and fill me from the crown to the toe topful Of direst cruelty! Make thick my blood; stop up the access and passage to remorse, that no compunctious visitings of nature shake my fell purpose, nor keep peace between the effect and it! Come to my woman's breasts, and take my milk for gall.” This shows she was to blame for the murders because she basically was saying that she wants to turned into a cold blooded killer.
So I am asking your majesty, why would Macbeth take all the blame for it? Lady Macbeth Says ‘My hands are of your color, but I shame to wear a heart to white’. This shows the major contribution that Lady Macbeth had towards the murder of Duncan. Often Lady Macbeth insulted Macbeth with statements that question his manhood. Lady Macbeth says ‘When you durst do it, then you were a man; And to be more than what you were, you would Be so much more the man.
Lady Macbeth plans to invite king Duncan over for dinner, but really she is convincing Macbeth to murder him. She influences him to kill Duncan because he is the only one standing in the way of Macbeth becoming king. Lady Macbeth plans the killing but convinces Macbeth to do the dirty deed. Lastly, Lady Macbeth is one of the causes of Macbeth’s failure because she repeatedly questions Macbeth’s manhood until she persuades him to make a bad choice. “When you durst do it then you were a man” (1.7.53-58).
From honored soldier to murderous tyrant, Macbeth killed his way into power. He was informed of his “destiny” and stopped at nothing to achieve it. He had multiple chances to rethink his actions. He didn 't however, he kept on his march to power leaving only himself to blame. Macbeth is the only one to blame for his actions and ultimately, his death.
In the play of Macbeth, there are some characters that could be responsible for Duncan’s death. I personally think Lady Macbeth is the cause of Duncan's murder. She is the most ambitious to kill the king in the beginning of the play, pressuring Macbeth. Lady Macbeth was persuasive of driving Macbeth to commit the murder. She manipulates him to go through with the murder even though he was very doubtful about it.
Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, is a dark play full of witchcraft and foreshadowing. Lady Macbeth showed scheming qualities throughout the play which had a lot of influence on her husband, Macbeth. Because of her controlling personality, Macbeth was scared to disappoint her. She was the one who positioned the idea of Duncan’s murder into her husband’s mind where he was succumbed by her supremacies and made the ultimate mistake. It was also her idea to place the blame of Duncan’s death on the soldiers.
Macbeth was introduced as a hero and everyone thought very highly of him. King Duncan trusted and was comfortable around Macbeth. He considered him as his friend and someone he could confide in. Macbeth’s love for the King and for Scotland makes him not seem wholly evil. It was Lady Macbeth who influenced Macbeth into killing King Duncan.
