This was spoken by Lady Macbeth to Macbeth in which she is relating Macbeth’s action to her own example of herself, as a mother, with a baby. Lady Macbeth is making a scene of an inseparable relationship of a mother nursing her own infant child by making an act of murder to the baby. The analogy that she made with a mother to a baby have created a comparison to the experience of Macbeth planning to murder King Duncan in order to make the plan less terrifying and intense. She wants to show her willingness that Macbeth is rightful to be place on the throne and eliminate any person that stands in his way.
