When the elder transformed into a buffalo during the feast, Unakite, Iktomi’s friend, revealed her half-ugly side, causing fear among the people. The wind cave closed, and buffalo people approached, offering themselves for food, shelter, and clothes, the elder, now a buffalo, became their salvation.
