The trigger incident of the story is when Patrick told Mary that he is going to leave her. Mary Kills him by smashing the frozen leg of the lab onto his head. The police officers start to eat up the leg of the lamb which Mary cooked, and that’s the climax. The most significant symbol of the story is the leg of the lamb. Lambs represent and are known to be innocent, meek, peaceful and pure.
