Lamia the queen of Libya, fell in love with Zeus which didn’t make Hera very happy in which caused Lamia trouble. Lamia’s parents aren’t clear in the stories, in one of the stories her parents are Poseidon and Lybie and in the other one her parents are Libya and Belus. Hera killed Lamia’s children except Scylla(who was also cursed) due to her affair with Zeus, Lamia went into a deep depression and took up murdering and eating children during her grieving process. It is believed that she was turned into a monster by Hera putting a curse on her or either during the grieving process of her children getting killed.
