Statistics show that 50% of people write at least one diary in there lifetime and writing in a diary can help the writer gain control of becoming more tolerant of other people. The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich is about the lives of Jews in hiding during WWII in Amsterdam and how they could be intolerant of each other. The powerful poem called “I, Too” by Langston Hughes is about segregation and discrimination. Segregation and discrimination can be people being intolerant of different races of peoples feelings sometimes showed as separat schools or transportation. The lack of tolerance can inspire people to be better from the pressure of other people. The pressure and lack of tolerance from Mrs. Frank caused Mr. Van Daan to be better.
