Chris McCandless was in his early 20’s, he was the kind of that guy that wanted to learn and experience life without all of the material things. He wanted to be independent from his parents and friends so Chris did something that would be insane for most of us humans but to him, it wasn’t. He went into the wild of Alaska for months, in fact, McCandless even thought he could make it out alive at the end of his journey. As a matter of fact, he was known as being a risk taker and enjoyed being out and about in the nature side of the world. Many would believe that Chris McCandless went into the wild to purposely kill himself; however, I myself believe that McCandless did not do it purposely.
Dan Torf was a proclaimed “baseball geek” with a dream of becoming the GM of the New York Yankees ever since he was in high school. He knew the most random facts and statistics of the MLB that not many people would even think of. Because of this passion for baseball and the fact that he knew he wanted to work in sports, he applied locally to schools with Sport Management programs and was grateful to get into UConn. During his time in college, he had many internships, including one that I also had the pleasure of committing my time to, the Connecticut Sun game day internship.
Unit 2: EA2 Argumentative Essay Reflection What I feel I did well on this argumentative essay was my research. I had many sources that provided me with facts and statistics and they helped me to decide what side I was on. There were many sources that I did not use but that I had read through. What I struggled with was commentary.
A man in Hollywood was arrested earlier this week for derailing an LAPD helicopter that was searching for a fleeing suspect with his drone. KEEP UP-TO-DATE ON MORE DRONE NEWS HERE! Eventually the LAPD found the amateur drone operator in a Rite Aid parking lot who was arrested for interfering with a police investigation.
Closing Statement The reason we’re here is because of a drone and a medical report. “Skyler Reed was injured” is the only concrete fact that all accounts have stated. Everything else is conflicting, and so the defense has come here to prove that it was not the drone that caused Skyler to fall, but an unrelated series of unfortunate events.
In today’s society, we have former National Football League(NFL) quarterback Collin Kapernick who’s no longer in the NFL because of his protest against racial inequality. However, many people believe he is no longer in the NFL because of his talent. Kapernick led the 49ers to Super Bowl 47. Although they didn’t win, he threw for 302 yards with a touchdown and rushed for 62 yards. Therefore, he didn’t get kicked out of the league because he wasn’t good enough, but for sitting down during the national anthem.
In life some feel the need to prove something to others. That they are better, stronger, or even more intelligent. Whatever the case may be people will go through extreme measures to prove themselves. But who do we really need to prove anything to? Is it our parents?
Do you guys remember the show when Dr. Oz popped by The Oprah Winfrey Show and talked about poop? It was interesting, wasn't it? I sure learned a lot about bowel movements. Man, I miss Oprah show so much.

To act out of a sense of duty is when our intentions are determined by the values of reason rather than desire for an expected reward or punishment (Loyno.edu). An example would be a person picking up an empty bottle from the park or on the street and disposing it properly. That person didn’t get a trophy for a great job. They did it because it is considered ethically right and we are trying to keep this place clean.
