Joseph Kindler was convicted of murder in Pennsylvania in 1982. After robbing a music store and the police caught his accomplice who ratted him out, Kindler was seeking revenge. He went and found his former accomplice and beat him 20 times with a baseball bat and shocked him 5 times with an electric rod, then took him to a bridge, tied a cinder block to his neck and threw him into the river. The state jury's recommendation was the death penalty and Kindler was going to appeal but he escaped to Canada so the court dismissed his post verdict motions. When Canadian authorities captured him for burglary in Canada they were going to convict him but he was able to flee.

She had survived the attack, but sustained multiple injuries, including injuries to her eyes. The victim believed her neighbor, Calvin Boyette, was one of the men who had assaulted her. She even pointed him out in a photo lineup.
In January, 2015, Adam Robinson was convicted by a jury on three charges of force sexual assault. The victim was an elementary school girl that lived in the apartment building that he worked in. The prosecutor committed several things that caused the case to overturn the conviction because of misconduct. The rulings of the case then were reversed, and a new trial was requested. The prosecutor’s misconduct in this case poorly affected Robinson’s right to a fair trial.
In 1924, the nation was shocked by the news of a kidnapping and murder in Chicago, Illinois. Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb, two nineteen-year-olds from wealthy families, confessed to the brutal killing of the fourteen-year-old Bobby Franks. These two young men did not show any sign of remorse. Right off the bat Nathan and Richard readily admitted that they had been strategizing for some time to commit the perfect crime. Their plan was ruined when Leopold left his eyeglasses at the scene, which eventually led to their arrest.
Summarized account On June 7th 1998, James Byrd Jr., a 49-year-old African American male, was walking home alone after a night of drinking with friends and family in Jasper, Texas. As Byrd was walking home, he was stopped and offered a ride from three drunk white men. Byrd accepted the ride and climbed into the back of the pickup truck. The men in the truck were Shawn Berry, Lawrence Brewer, and John King, and they had no intention of taking Byrd home that night.

On January 3, 2016, defendant James Baskin along with Tyron Taylor was accused of killing Larry Ellis Jr. The victim Larry Ellis Jr. was shot multiple times in the chest and was pronounced dead at the crime scene around 4:00 am. It was said the shooting took place because they were trying to rob him for drugs. Allegedly, Mr. Ellis gave Mr. Baskin a dipper which is a cigarette dipped in PCP.

After much plotting and planning, they decided to kidnapped 14 years old Bobby Franks as he walked home from school one day and killed him by strike him in the head with a chisel.
Kevin Cooper was accused of killing this little boy’s family. There were 2 eyewitnesses who said they saw 2 Latino men coming out of the house and stealing their car. Even the little boy said the man who slashed his family was Latino and not African American. Even with this information, the California Supreme Court still planned an execution date for Kevin Cooper. Another witness said that her husband’s hatchet was missing and his overalls were all bloody.
On January 4, 1960 it is said that Perry Smith and Richard Hickock are both being held in connection with the Clutter family murder. The sheriff’s office and the police department were alerted to pick them up on sight. News sources found out that the two men picked up in Las Vegas were probably the pair that killed the Clutter family. They were asked to not reveal the story at the time because it might mess with the investigation in Las Vegas. The two men were arrested in Las Vegas on a parole violation charge.

While at the mall, they noticed two year old James shopping with his mother. When James’ mother went to pay for some items, Thompson and Venables abducted James, taking him on a two and a half mile walk where they later attacked him with paint, bricks, stones, and a 22 pound metal pipe, which was believed to have caused fractures to his skull. With his injuries so severe, this is likely what caused his death.
Story* In the book To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee writes that Tom Robinson is accused and is standing trial for the attack on Mayella Ewell. Three of the main characters in the book, which included Scout, Jem, and Dill went to court to see Tom Robinson’s case being held because they were curious. I agree that the kids did go to court. Some people believe that they should have gone but I believe that they should not have.
