Act I Act 1 opens up with a black screen, only hearing club noises. The title on the screen pops up reading “FAST LANE”. We then see quick cut visuals of what appears to be a club scene. We see our protagonist, MIA, dancing in the club with her best friend, the antagonist, ALEX. ALEX grabs MIA whiles she’s dancing and brings her to the bathroom. The scene changes to the bathroom. We then see their reflection in the mirror of ALEX doing key sniffs of cocaine and giving some to MIA. Both of them, then walk out onto the dance floor. The scene changes back to the club. Flashing lights and strobes are used to cut between actions. We see visuals of ALEX approaching a rich, famous person, attempting to dance with him. He is interested in her, and shares a pill with her by kissing her. We see a medium close up of MIA just standing there, looking at her awkwardly. The camera zooms out to a wide shot with MIA just standing there awkwardly in the middle of the crowd as we fade to black. …show more content…

As we see a black screen, we hear the sound of running water. We then see a close up of Mia’s hands as she is doing the dishes. It is a bright but grey scene inside the apartment. We can hear sounds of the train in the background slightly. We then see a medium close up MIA’s face as she is doing the dishes. In the background, ALEX comes into the right side of the frame using Depth of Field. She looks and sounds extremely hungover. MIA stops what she’s doing and goes over to help her and comfort her by giving her water, painkillers, and a bucket. ALEX declines the bucket. Mia, walks away, grabbing her bag. We see a shot of a calendar with the current date headlining, “Fashion Workshop”. We see Mia’s hand cross that off as she heads out the
