The Fallen The novel Fallen written by Lauren Kate was published on the 8 December 2008.It is a young adult romantic fantasy. Fallen is a fast paced suspense filled novel based on the dangerous but thrilling journey towards the fight for forbidden love. One of the themes in this book was identity.I knew this because Luce states that she wants to figure out who she was in her past lives.The author Lauren Kate seemed to be suggesting that even if you lose your memories or change who you are you will never be able to forget or hide who you truly are or meant to be.Your characteristics would still be the same and so would your personality.I think identity is important for yourself is as it allows us to stand out as individuals,it also helps us develop a sense of importance and wellbeing.
