The Fallen The novel Fallen written by Lauren Kate was published on the 8 December 2008.It is a young adult romantic fantasy. Fallen is a fast paced suspense filled novel based on the dangerous but thrilling journey towards the fight for forbidden love. Through the banishment of two angels from heaven which are (Main characters) Lucinda Price and Daniel Grigori as they both fell in love with one another.Their punishment being that Luce is sent back as a mortal while Daniel gets banished from heaven and gets immorality.Luce and Daniel have to meet in every life although Luce does not remember Daniel nor that she is an angel she falls in love with him in every life and as soon as they realise their love for each other she gets sudden death,and …show more content…

One of the themes in this book was identity.I knew this because Luce states that she wants to figure out who she was in her past lives.The author Lauren Kate seemed to be suggesting that even if you lose your memories or change who you are you will never be able to forget or hide who you truly are or meant to be.Your characteristics would still be the same and so would your personality.I think identity is important for yourself is as it allows us to stand out as individuals,it also helps us develop a sense of importance and wellbeing.
