Laurie Halse Anderson is an American writer who is famous for writing novels for teenagers and children. One of her novels, called “Speak”, is about the life of high school student Melinda Sordino, who suffers from being an outcast. This novel should be read by every school student as it describes the problem of socialization, adaptation and typical problems of teenagers.
