Dear Mr. Davis, How are you today? Our eighth grade team would like to make a suggestion about going on a field trip to Lava Beds National Monuments. We will like your permission to visit this historical place. Lava beds is located in California, and our team would like to see it up closer. Lava Beds National Monument was declared by President Calvin Coolidge in 1925. Lava Beds National Monuments is consider as California's "best kept secret." It attracts about 130,000 visitors a year, and it contains 47,000 acres. This so called "secret" has a very historical and geological wonder. It contains volcanic rocks and underground caves full of different futures. Different geological features are part of the creation of such mystery in Lava Beds National Monuments. People can do a variety of different things when the visit. As the author states, "Tourists can explore underground lava tubes that look almost like rocky water slides. They can also take guided tours of the park, hike along scenic trails, climb cinder cones, and learn about the natural volcanoes and high desert in northern California." The remarkable underground caves, or lava tubes, formed from a variety of volcanic eruptions that occurred over the last half million years."
