Others may argue, because of their decision to marry. Friar Laurence, though well intentioned, agrees to marry Romeo and Juliet. In secret, and in hopes of ending the fighting between the families, however, the act of this marriage only proves unfortunate, only making things worse. Romeo tries to stop a fight between his newly wedded wife’s cousin and his cousin. It doesn't work and Romeo's cousin dies, Romeo upset kills Juliet's cousin resulting in a grieving Juliet and Romeo getting banished from his city verona. Furthermore, miscommunication surrounding Friar Laurence's new plan to reunite the lovers adds to the tragedy. The Friar makes a plan to fake Juliet's death, to stop her from marrying count Paris, an older sister, in an arranged marriage set by her father to cheer up her family from the recent loss of her cousin. Friar plans to reunite Juliet with her Romeo by sending a letter to him in his new city of Mantoa but is instead followed by A Series of Unfortunate Events as the letter never made it to
