When first being assigned the reading of “Le Morte D’ Arthur” and finding out that it was a book from long ago that used the ancient text, I became very worried about the assignment and started to dread reading the story. But shortly after reading through some of the story I found myself becoming very interested in it, way more than I thought it would be. It was Book 20, Chapter 8 that stuck out to me the most. I was able to understand that part the most and it became very fascinating at that point. I think that it was the most stimulating because it spoke about sins and redemptions and it also spoke about loyalty.

King Arthur found out about the affair and obviously wasn’t very happy. It made him feel like less of a man and it was also a slap in the face that she was the queen and had an affair with someone who didn’t really hold any royalty in the kingdom. So, when King Arthur found out about the two of them he decided to have Queen Guinevere sentenced to death for the crime of Treason. He wanted her to be burned to death. King Arthur first decided to try and sneak up on the two of them to catch them in the action in the Queen’s living quarters. When they accomplished that Sir Lancelot and some of his men got into a little altercation before they were able to capture the queen when Sir Lancelot and his men decided to take off to the woods to hide. At this moment, Sir Lancelot could have used more force to kill the knights and even King Arthur but he did not want things to come down to that so that is why him and his knights ran away. King Arthur then tasked his knights to take Queen Guinevere to be killed. The knights did not agree with the King’s decision but only one of the knights refused to carry out the act. Sir Lancelot finds out that the execution is going to take place while he is in the woods and gets a group of knights together to intervene. Him and his knights were able to rescue Queen Guinevere but it was no easy task. During the rescue attempt Sir Lancelot has no choice but to
