Le Morte D’Arthur is a medieval book written during the late 13th century by Sir Thomas Malory. Le Morte D’Arthur tells the life of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Preceding events that occur amid chapter six, Merlin the wizard saves baby Arthur from death due to a decree requiring death of all baby boys and bestows him upon Sir Ector, a man whom would foster Arthur like a father while he grew up. Our story begins introducing Arthur, who is a squire 14-16 years aged, travelling with his foster father Sir Ector and foster brother Sir Kay to the Sword in the Stone. Sir Ector reveals that he had never been Arthur’s true father, an illusion that Arthur had lived under his whole childhood. He learns that he had survived by the magician Merlin because it was known that he was the true heir to the throne of England. Regardless of this fact, some Nobles were skeptical if Arthur really had the power to pull the sword out of the stone, even though they saw it with their own eyes. They requested Arthur put the sword back in the stone, and then have Arthur come back at Christmas to once again attempt to pull the sword from the stone. Following Christmas time all the Nobles gathered at the site of the Sword in the Stone once again to watch Arthur pull the sword out. Once again Arthur pulled the sword effortlessly, causing it to come out from the rock. The Nobles, who were again baffled by this young man’s power still remained skeptical even though it was quite obvious Arthur was the true heir. So one more time they put off Arthur’s coronation and requested at Easter time that he try to pull the sword out one last time. At Easter, Arthur and the Nobles met at the Sword in the Stone one last time. After Arthur had pulled the sword one last time, the magician Merlin said that the Nobles had tested Arthur
