Leader in Training Application Essay Ever since I was younger I always looked up to my cabin leaders and all the other staff and leaders around the camp and knew that was what I wanted to do one day. It’s always been a goal of mine to get to go lead cabins and share and teach people more about Jesus. This would be my 7th year at camp and I think it would be so great to get to go and teach kids about how awesome having a relationship with Christ is and to get to learn and grow in my relationship with him as well. It would be amazing getting to go and build relationships with some great people while getting to learn and grow in my faith. I’d say the thing that really made me want to accept Jesus into my life was going to camp. …show more content…

Something I think has been really important and made a huge inpact in my life has been getting more involved at church. I currently play piano for worship at Reign VAC. I am also a grade 2-5 girls small group leader at VAC kids. Both of these have been helping me grow in my relationship with Jesus and have shown me a love for serving and telling people about Jesus I didn’t know I had before. I also go to youth and church weekly. My current relationship with Jesus Christ is going pretty good. I’ve been working on going to him more in difficult situations and figuring out why those situations are sometimes put in front of me. I’ve also been working on sharing the word with others in my school and in my community more. I know that I can always trust him to guide me through tough moments and that I can go to him to show me the right thing to do and the right decisions to make. I’ve been trying to go Jesus more when making big decisions instead of just trying to make them on my own. Every day I try to invite people to youth and to church and I try to share my faith at school and on my sports teams. Some leadership training I have is that as I mentioned before I am a small group leader at VAC kids.
