Ever since I was a small child, I have always stood out to others as a strong leader. Early in my life I was part of a peer model program that was focussed towards socially advanced individuals. As a result, I was placed into different classes to both assist and be an example for lower functioning individuals. I have always had a strong passion for helping others and being able to lead and teach groups of people. Throughout the years many opportunities have come up for me to display my strengths in leadership. All my years of being in high school, I have volunteered at a 6th grade day camp. Essentially, I am given a group of up to twelve 6th graders, and I help guide them through different team bonding activities. One of my greatest achievements of leadership, however, would be through the Ignition Program here at my high school, I was honored early on as a sophomore to serve as a board member of this group, and eventually worked my way up to be one …show more content…

Between my co-president and I, we help and guide 90 mentors to ensure the welcoming of incoming freshmen to the high school life. We assist in coordinating a special day before school starts where we introduce freshmen to the high school itself and to each other. Not only do we focus on the freshmen wellbeing, but we also coordinate and run free tutoring for all students within the school.

Stepping away from leadership and looking towards my other passions, through all of my years in middle and high school I have always taken one or more art class. Looking past just paintbrushes and pencils, my strongest creative capabilities come from the mental aspect. I have always had a creative mindset, hence my artistic abilities, but it was my high school art teacher
