As a spokesperson, I want to empower teachers to be leaders in and out of the classroom. The key to raising achievement for all students is to empower teachers to lead and transform the teaching profession. Every child has the right to an education and the potential to learn. As educators, we have a great responsibility to serve as advocates for the students we serve. All children, regardless of their background, must be taught to believe they can succeed.
My passion for education and athletics is what started my career as a teacher. Now, each passing day is a reflection my desire to impact students and student-athletes in a positive way. As a coach, I am the leader of a team. It means leading your team to pursue greatness and success, even through challenges and change. I have tackled issues such taking a losing football team build enough confidence to finish third in the district.
T As a principal, one must be an effective leader to create a school environment that enables the faculty and staff to improve student achievement, the main objective of any school. As an effective principal, I will constantly look for data and make necessary changes to the school strategic plan to improve the student performance. As a steward, and visionary leader, the principal must buy in as much as from everyone inside the building. Leading by example, set forth a positive climate, communicating effectively with stake holders and set a strategic direction for school are some of the characteristics of an exceptional leader. Ideally, all activities and programs within the school should be aligned to the strategic goals set by the planning committee.
With every passing school year, I find myself taking on new challenges and striving to become better. As I load my schedule with AP and Dual Enrollment courses, the long sleepless nights of studying and completing stacks of rigorous coursework serve as a constant reminder that working hard isn't optional. I truly value education and thoroughly believe that the work I'm doing now will pay off in the future. This conviction fuels my motivation to succeed and always put forth my best effort. Tackling a hectic extracurricular schedule while managing the workload of advanced courses has quickly shown me the importance of staying organized, keeping track of assignments, and managing my time wisely.
I believe I am a very capable and proactive leader. I have been the captain of the basketball team since my junior year, I have also been a captain of the football and track teams. Being a leader is a large responsibility and I am always up for the challenge. I believe being a leader begins with taking charge and being assertive while taking everybody's feelings and thoughts into the equation as well. You need to be creative to be a leader and always have ways to motivate your group, team, etc.
In the Cambridge Dictionary, leadership, is defined as people who are in charge of a government or a group. The Cambridge Dictionary also defines leadership as having the quality or ability that makes a person a leader, or the position of being a leader. I agree with the Cambridge Dictionary; However, I must add, that leaders are not born with these abilities, but they are molded by pinacol points within their life that paved the path to become a great leader. In our history we have heard and read of many leaders that transformed our very present life. Although their approach was unique they all had one thing in common, a vision.
There are many things that I would like to accomplish over the next 3 to 5 years. The one thing that I would like to complete over all others is being commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force by way of Officer Training School (OTS). I will first explain the type of leader I believe I am now. Then I will illuminate how I plan to improve my leadership effectiveness over the next three to five years and reach my goal.

I will be a leader through my actions as a flight instructor, as I will inspire and mentor. Obtaining the title of flight instructor is not an easy task, it is earned. Having the knowledge most do not acquire gives me the opportunity to be a leader in the aviation industry. Teaching day in and day out allows me to create friendly relationships with my students so they can do so one day. My actions of creating friendly relationships while teaching will inspire future instructor to follow my path one day.
“A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus, but a molder of consensus.” -Martin Luther King Jr. As the world continuously evolves, the basis of human character remains with few alterations. Among some of the most important traits known to each being, respect, honesty, and integrity, for example, the gold standard that has come to outshine the rest is leadership.
In leadership, the role often goes unseen while the efforts do not. I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given that has striven me into the leader I am today. Leadership has instilled fortitude and courage in me. Through leadership, I have been able to flourish and learn as an individual and with the help of others. As a leader, I do my best to make sure everyone’s opinion is included to make for the best outcome.
Leadership When I were to look back five years ago to when I was a college freshman, I sit and think to myself: I cant believe I am who I am today. It is easy to sit and talk about who you are and what you want in life but when you actually have to sit back and really think about who you are and critique and analyze your development and growth as an individual. It becomes a difficult task. Being in college really helped me become the person that I am today. I can say I am very proud of who I become: A Leader.
I will be the first to admit that I am not a natural-born leader. All throughout elementary school, middle school, and high school, I always managed to steer away and avoid any responsibilities involving leadership and service toward either an organization, or a school-sponsored group. I was totally and whole heartedly convinced that I would either do a poor job, make things in the organization worse, or that everyone would end up hating me. Yes, I am not a natural-born leader.
Leadership is something that every collective society will need regardless of its make-up. I try to lead in the things I am able to. Being a leader is more than just bossing people around and getting what you want all of the time, it is understanding the needs of all the people involved and creating progress for the good of all. Leadership is not always easy, especially when no one in a group views a situation remotely the same. I attended a school where there was very little diversity in terms of race but, very typical of other types of diversity.
