Leadership Philosophy Statement

Throughout my high school years it has been very important to me that I put myself in positions of leadership. One of my most important leadership positions is that I’m the Energy and Environment Committee Chair on the Executive Student Council at my school. As a student council member, I am known as one of the leaders of the school. Not only am I leading my fellow peers at pep rallies and school events, but executive council members are also meant to lead our general student council club which is comprised of underclassmen. This leadership experience is incredibly important to me because it gives me the opportunity to be involved in my school and to be a positive influence on the younger people of my school.
It has always been important to me that I be well involved in my school; by doing this, I am putting myself in many positions in which I can have a leadership role in a club or organization. One of the organizations that I participated in and eventually had a leadership position was DECA. I was a member as a sophomore and I was elected to be the store manager my junior year. As the store manager it was my responsibility to run the store that held school supplies and snacks that would sell to my peers. It was also my job …show more content…

It is is a locally run business that never has more than fifteen employees, who are usually females. When I was a junior in high school I was promoted to be a manager in training. The responsibilities of this position require me to train new employees and direct and encourage all of the employees. And when a manager is not working I am the person who is in charge and who everyone goes to for guidance. This leadership position is very important to me because not only am I able to help people my age grow as employees, but I am also able to grow as a leader in the business world which will greatly benefit me in the
