In Lean on Me East Side High was one of the top ranking high schools. The staff of Eastside High school committee transferred Mr. Clark to another high school. Dr. Frank Napier watched the school become the lowest rank in the state. Some of the reasons the school became the lowest ranking because students went crazy, they didn’t meet the state requirements, and the teachers started giving up on the students. The school had to find a way for them to pass the state test and not get the school shut down.
The school committee voted Mr. Clark to transfer so they could get a raise. When Mr. Clark got transferred the school lost all control of the students. Mr. Clark kept the school organized. When Mr. Clark left the students stop paying attention. Mr. Clark knew something bad was going to happen when he left the school.

Clark came back to the school he started he was determine to get the students to pass the state test. There were many problems Mr. Clark had to fix. One of the problems he had to fix was getting the bad kids out of school. The students didn’t have any discipline at school. Mr. Clark let Thomas come back to school because Thomas said he would change and stay focused in class. Mr. Clark teaches the kids discipline by making them learn the school song. He put chains on the doors so kids who didn’t belong there come inside. He suspended some of the teacher for arguing back with him. He wanted to show the kids that he cared about them and that they could actually pass their state test. Many parents didn’t like the way he was running the school. The parents worked hard to get Mr. Clark kicked out of the school. The parents thought he was rude and he didn’t know what he was doing. The parents had to get proof that Mr. Clark was putting the school in danger. He told the teachers to get the chains off the doors when he found out the fire marshal got inside the school.
