Organizations rely upon group efforts to achieve goals. The purpose of staffing is to control all recruitment and personnel needs of the organization. Management needs to be able to oversee and influence the behavior of the staff and achieve the company’s goals, whether that means assisting or motivating them. (Schwartz, D. 1980). For my boss Christopher Sears who is a food service director at Winchester Nursing he is also responsible for training and development. (DuBrin, A. 2008). According to Northhouse (2016) when my boss Christopher Sears is involved he influence us to do well and he makes sure that we meet our goals. (Northhouse, 2013, p. 14). Leadership is a path-finding management is path-following leaders and when it comes to my boss Christopher Sears he set the direction for the kitchen and as an employee I must follow his directions and accept his authority.
