Leif Garrett First, Leif Garrett grew as a very popular teen idol, and is a solo artist. Garrett was born on November 8 1961, at Hollywood, California, and was not fully recognized until his big hit that came out on 1977, with an album, and made another huge hit 2 years later with the song,”I was made for dancin,”but never went to the top charts ever again. Garrett unfortunately was also known as a drug addict and had many legal problems with him and got into a car crash on November 1979, because Garrett was under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and the crash happened when he was almost 18 years old. When he was 17 years old, his partying really caught up to him, Garrett kept on getting high and driving which ultimately led to the car crash that put his friend Roland Winkler in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, and this accident still haunts Garrett to this day. The charges on Garrett and Roland were later dropped. Even though he had personal problems, Garrett still made great hits with two more albums. He then got back to a series called, 8-track Flashback and met his paralyzed friend who then said he had forgiven Leif Garrett for what he had done, and then Leif Garrett looked like he sobered. He then joined another rock band left and formed a hard rock band, and wrote most of the songs. Later on Garrett shows the public his sense of humor and acted on tv programs with David Spade and told Los Angeles Times, and was also arrested for drugs again in 2004. “You should be able to poke a certain amount of fun in yourself.
