In the novel "Of Mice and Men" written by John Steinbeck the main characters George and Lennie have a problem in their hands. The problem... Lennie killed Curley's wife and the solution was to kill Lennie. Yes I do agree with George's decision at the end of the novel to kill his best friend. George made the right decision because Lennie wasnt good to himself nor others. The same problem happened with Candy's old dog that was shot earlier in the novel. "He ain't no good to you, Candy. An he ain't no good to himself"(44). Another reason why I agree with George killing Lennie is because Curley was going to kill Lennie himself. Curley stated "I'm gonna shoot the guts outta that big bastard myself"(98). Knowing Curley
