Lennie’s Narrative I grabbed the hay and threw it down at the puppy and scooted more hay onto it until it was half covered. “You.. you dumb dog! Why’d you have to break your neck? I was gentle, I did what george told me to!” I yelled at the puppy before I heard footsteps. I hurried to cover the rest of the little body.
