Leonardo da Vinci rose to credence during the time known as the Renaissance Period. His interest and knowledge spanned more than painting as he is also well known for architecture, inventor and a student of all things scientific. While not highly schooled in education, da Vinci had a thirst for knowledge and studied every aspect of life, right down to the bare bones. Da Vinci was born in 1452 in a small village in Vinci, Italy. While he had seventeen half -siblings, da Vinci was the only child of his attorney father and peasant mother, who were never married.
