Later on, Galileo Galilei discovered more about how sound moves in waves. He learned that the frequency of sound waves show how pitched the sound will be. Marin Mersenne was the first person to discover how fast sound travels from one medium to another in the year 1640. Sound is made when something starts to vibrate, it travels from one medium to another. The sound moves through a mediums or objects, which can be a liquid, solid or a gas. The sound moves through the object by vibrating the molecules in the object. Sound travels the fastest in solids and slowest in
