Thesis: In the poem, Beowulf, as well as the article, ‘Lessons in Manliness from Beowulf’, it shows how a man is defined by their actions. Beowulf comes to save the Danes from a horrible monster that has been thriving on the Danes’ grief and sadness for 12 cold years. It is something that we should do because we do not know when it will be our last. Beowulf went and took countless risks to fend off the monsters threatening their life as well as the Danes and the Geats. He is a great example to follow since, despite his age, he still went to fight the dragon. We have to accept that we might fail sometimes while taking that
