You probably weren’t told dramatic changes that it brought upon France so I’ve decided to write it I this letter for your wellbeing. the A lot has changed since you left France; the military of France has lost many soldiers due to war. The economy has become destroyed the northeast part of the land was ruined due to constant fighting. The French empire shrunk from 11.3% total foreign to 6.8%.In addition, the trades money shortage deepened during the war, from 1.54 billion francs in 1913 to 17.58 billion francs in 1918. The Post-War world economy put in minor efforts to make the huge gap in imp orts vs. exports less severe as the trade’s money shortage dropped an extra 5.43 billion

With 7% of the French population as casualties and cultural and industrial rich land gone, the citizens of France turned to whatever political party would listen to their needs and demands. The French economy underwent dramatic changes during this time as governments and ideas changed. The Pound Sterling failed and the French were forced to slow down the amount of money being used and change all foreign future use to gold. The French moved to using gold and less money could be printed as every Franc had to be worth a certain amount of gold. This lead to a great increase of lending, which stopped businesses from surviving and also prevented farmers from being able to get loans for planting. Unemployment was next to happen, and the people who were farmers that were unemployed became forced to find what work there was building the Maginot line when construction took place. Large percentages of the unemployed people found little to no work and were much more easily following the idea that every class should be equal and all men would have a job according to their ability, and be paid according to their need. In France the loss of life was very visible, and the numbers were between 125,000 and 250,000 civilians, and 30,000 soldiers. The virus came from the US with the American forces which landed in the western areas of France. The disease spread in three motions from April 1918 to February 1919. The second motion was the most serious in September, October and November. Half of the deaths were visible among the 20-40 year old people as the older people were more vulnerable to diseases. This occurred because it was due to their breathing complications which could easily kill them in a couple of days. The government tried to prevent these disasters but it was ineffective.
