This is a story of two teenage girls meeting through a newspaper ad. They start writing letters about themselves and their good and bad sides.

I really admire the way Mandy didn't give up on Tracey (when a lot of people would have) when she found out that she was imprisoned for something terrible that she wouldn't have wanted to do but she did. This shows that Mandy is a good hearted person with strong power of will and a mindset that most people can’t say they have. I think it's a very heroic act to help people that aren't accepted by society or have made a mistake in life because we are all human and we all make mistakes, some are just bigger than others. Mandy has done this by giving Tracy something to hold onto (her friend Mandy) while in a horrible place in a prison. Even tho Mandy has got problems of her own like her “ creepy violent brother” ( as she describes him) she gives up her time to help someone who needs it more ( even tho she doesn't know this at the time). I really wouldn't want to imagine what would have become of Tracy if she didn’t find Mandy through her newspaper as she put in “ as a joke “. In this movie the main character, P.T Barnum is a boy who came from nothing and grows up to become the inventor of the circus and “the greatest showman”. He achieves this by helping the so-called “freaks” in the movie to become part of the show and by doing this giving them a home and a ‘family’. This is a great act of kindness as these people are rejected by society and live in shame for things that aren’t their fault.
