Lewis Carroll is one of the famous British writer all over the world. Esepecially, He is known by the book, Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland. Today, Carroll’s books are popular with people from publishing without a break. However, he had various aspects, not only a writer, but also a mathmatician, a photographer. How did he led a life actually? I will write about Carroll in this report deeply. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, best known by his pseudonym, Lewis Carroll, was born in the village of Daresbury, Cheshire, England, on January 27, 1832. The eldest boy in a family of 11 children, Carroll was rather adept at entertaining himself and his siblings. His father, a clergyman, raised them in the rectory. As a boy, Carroll excelled in mathematic and won many academic prizes. Although he went on to public school, rugby school, he was bad at sports. However he made effort to study only for three years. At age 20, Carroll was entered to Christ College and awarded a studentship. Moreover, he was appointed a lecturer in mathematics.
