Lewis Carroll was very a optimistic and interesting person, he was a writer , mathematician, logician, Anglican deacon and a photographer. He accomplished many things in life but like most people he had ups and downs. One of his major life events that devastated him was, that in 1868 his father died. His father's death caused several years of depression. However through the years he overcame this tragedy. Lewis Carroll then began to focus himself towards photography. Ever since he was a young child he loved photography , which was very rare back in his time for a young kid to be into photography. Most of Lewis’s writing was based on games and ways to entertain and make little children laugh and have a good time. One of the world's most known and one of his most popular book as, we all know is of course Alice in Wonderland. Why was this book wrote and who inspired him you might say, well it was inspired by the little girl Alice Liddell. Short parts and small stories from Alice in Wonderland, were first introduced in 1862. When Lewis Carroll was on this boating trip ; the small stories were ways to entertain three little girls, which one of them was indeed Alice Liddell. She later on begged and begged Lewis Carroll to add on to the story he had told them on the boating trip. Finally Lewis Carroll agreed and he began writing Alice in Wonderland. He later than gave the whole story he came up with to the little girl Alice. One day of of Lewis’s friends who was novelist saw the story and he insisted that he should have it published. After what his friend had told he brought the book to his other friend George Macdonald for advice. Alice in Wonderland was published in 1865 , which was three years after the boat trip he had taken with Alice and the two other girls. By 1866 , 5000 copies had been sold , which is only a year away from when it was published. The book Alice in Wonderland is about a young girl who falls into and disappears into a rabbit hole and finds herself in a whole different world and a wild and interesting adventure. No wonder children loved it so much and even adults really enjoyed the book. The book grabs the reader's attention by creating wild and somewhat crazy situations and experiences.
