When I was a little girl, my family told me a story that impacted my whole life. A little boy named Abush (Baby) is a disabled kid and who was hated by everyone including his parents. His dirty clothes, him being unable to walk and play, made him look like helpless in front of his society. Everyone treated him unfairly however, he had the most loving heart. He even loved those who hated him. In Abush’s village it was like a sin to have a disabled child because they thought if all your body parts couldn’t function the way they are suppose to it means you are possessed by the devil. People get inspired by other people’s life story and experience because people don’t have same personality and life story. Life lesson is more than any education that we get from school, it is different. It is important to ask and share others personal narratives because every person has their own life story that they passed through. Dave Isay is trying to make people to talk about their life experience or what they feel about themselves by interviewing them. He has no idea about his father previous identity, not until he sat down with him and heard about it. Finding out that his father was gay is a reason to interview those people who needs a listening ear. TED Talks is a short powerful speech and emphasis the society issue to inspire people. According to TED Talks, Everything around You has A story the world's needs to hear,” by Dave Isay said, “Every story matter.” Isay record the interviews and he gave the copy to them but he kept the the original so in that way the family story will continue from generation to generation. Joshua Littman is 12 years old boy who has Asperger’s syndrome. He interviewed his mother about her feelings over him. Joshua was thinking that his mother had a very difficult time when she raised him, however she told him that he was the one who made his mother a parent. There are tons of issues in our life to make us give up instead of trying over and over again. There are some unlucky days that we chose to regret. When I came to America everything forced me to give up especially language , speaking was the first enemy of mine. The first day of class was the saddest day, I have never cried like that. CAHSEE is a test that determine your ability on English and math. I don’t know English I thought , how I can pass this test and made my mom proud? My sister told me about CAHSEE and she didn’t pass yet. This test destroys many student’s life and I was Sure I will be one of them. Mrs. Osgard is our ESL1/2 teacher and she is the most lovable teacher I have ever had. After lunch she told us a story of her previous students who didn’t know how to speak any English, write, read, and speak, however they were valedictorians and salutatorian. One of the girl name Shewit and she is Ethiopian and didn’t know anything on her freshmen year however her working hard let her to take five AP classes and overcome the language barrier. On her senior year she graduated with the highest rank and she accepted Colorado Christian University and she also got a lot of scholarship with a large amount of money.
