Light in The Dark

Web. 22 Mar. 2017.)When horrible things happen around the world one individual can make such a difference and they can shine the light through themselves to help others. Even in the most horrific situations around the world, there are still good people in the world that bring out hope for humanity through the kindness in their heart.
People should do the right thing despite the outcomes or aftermath that associate to the situation in order to help or restore lives in the long run. In the situation of the Lynchings of Marion, James Cameron is about to get hung standing with the noose around his neck, “But then they all fell silent. Cameron heard a woman’s voice: “Take this boy back. He had nothing to do with the killing and the rape.” The noose was removed from his neck, the crowd began to break up, and Cameron staggered back to the jail” (Lowe n.pag.). This one woman stopped an entire crowd of over fifteen thousand people awaiting his death and she stopped the lynching because of her brave action. In the book To Kill A Mockingbird written by Harper lee, this idea of bravery and hard work to get what is right is shown plenty of times. This is shown in the trial of Mayella Ewell 's rape case against Tom Robinson where Atticus helps defend Tom Robinson get what is right no matter the risks he takes for his kids and himself. When Atticus talks to Scout about what might happen verbally during school he tells
