Like Martha In Luke 10: 38-42

All the above verses were mentioned, but there was a major one that hasnt been mention in chapter 1."Like Martha i have always been agitated and troubled by the cares of the day but my mother had a serene and loving heart. She was like Mary and had chosen 'that good part. '" In Luke 10:38-42, it states that "Jesus Christ and his disciples stopped at the house of Martha in Bethany, about two miles from Jerusalem. Her sister Mary lived there, along with their brother Lazarus, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. Mary sat at Jesus ' feet and listened to his words. Martha, meanwhile, was distracted with preparing and serving the meal for the group. Tell her then to help me. ' 41 But the Lord answered her, 'Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, 42 but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her. '" To me this means that you should be more like Martha and less like Mary. You need to give all your attention to Jesus, instead of focusing on doing chores. You need to give all your problems to Jesus, instead of trying to do it yourself. Lets break it down to see what Mattie was saying, in the text, "Like Martha I have always been agitated and troubled by the cares of the day..." In my other post in Mattie Ross, Chapter 1, i had mentioned that she seems a little bitter. That is proof. she has always been upset. She has always been difficult. If she wasnt bitter, why would she be so difficult? "...but my mother had a serene and loving heart...." Her mom was complete opposite. She had a peaceful heart. She was loving and cared about people. Moving on, "She was like Mary and had chosen 'that good part '." She had chosen "that good part". What does that mean? Well, in the bible, it states in Mathew 6:33, "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything
