Lilli’s family was on their second trip to the suburbs of Chicago for this month. Which was a normal thing for all the basketball Lilli and her brother Jake were playing throughout the year. But this weekend seemed to be different for Lilli, almost as if she knew something wasn’t right. She couldn’t put her finger on what that something was but it didn’t seem to be good.
The Wilson family was driving on the main highway to get to the sports complex, which was just a few minutes south of their hotel. They were just having a casual family conversation about where they would go to dinner that night after Lilli’s games as well as discussing with the boys how they couldn't make fun of Lilli’s shot during the game to make her laugh. Which they did every time she had shot a free throw. Then a Silverado swerved over the center line, within seconds the truck rolled on top of their compact car . On edge she went back into the car with her older brother Jake, who had managed to free himself from the terrible wreck. Jake had to move some debris so it wouldn't hook up on their mom. As the two kids moved broken parts of the car off of their mom they realized she wasn’t breathing Jake cried out “Mom! Come back to me. Pull through. Mom please.” Everything was silent except for the sound of the ambulance coming near and a quiet whimper of Lilli’s dad as well as Lilli's brothers.
