Hello Mr. President, While individual rights are seldom absolute, however, there needs to be a line drawn to call actions taken by a tyrannical government and separate actions that are justified in limiting individual rights. Individual rights should be based upon the moral compass because in the event that a certain individual abuses the rights that harms a vast majority of the population, limitations are justified. For example, a person sexually harrasses and threatens an individual through means of verbal remarks should be arrested as it could potentially endanger the individual regardless of their rights provided in the 1st Amendment; but, if a person expresses their opinions and beliefs dissimilar to others, should not lose their right so long as it causes no physical and mental harm. The Fourth Amendment protects the rights of the peoples “to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects.” Government officials involuntary forced people to leave their homes against their will for the sake of their own well being due to the potential dangers lurking caused by Hurricane Katrina. as it was not intentional retribution during the storm emergency. Evacuations to other prison house lead to overcrowding conditions that were not intentional. Also, authorities did not receive proper emergency trainings or evacuation plans in the event of emergency storms. Should future issues arise, authorities need to undergo emergency training and produce an evacuation plans so prisoners will not face an overpopulated prison and other issues should such events occur
