Ever since I visited our local Supreme Court, I instantly knew what I wanted as a career and that is to be a part of the legal system by becoming a Barrister. After witnessing the impact law can have on both our society and morality, I knew if I could get the opportunity to work in this system, I could directly make an impact in the world. Upon researching this field further, I learned that unlike any other degree law is very vast and the subject comprises of a broad range of issues which will provide me with the scope of developing my skills and redefine the existing societal norms. Moreover exploring this field of work will allow me to encounter with people from different parts of the society which will contribute to shape me as a person. My specific law interests include the Civil Rights Law and Women’s Rights Law and I would particularly like to work for that throughout my career. According to my point of view, enforcement of law is equally important as creating the law for the proper functioning of the civilization and I am willing to be a part of that enforcement process. It was during this Community Service that I learned upon interacting with the students how difficult it is for young girls in such regions to attend school on regular basis due to the pressure of household work and most importantly due to the ignorance of their parents’ towards women’s education.
