Linda Ann McDonald, a homemaker, a long time resident of Chandler, Arizona passed away peacefully on March 7, 2017 after a 3 year battle with cancer. Linda was born November 14, 1957 in Bayonne, New Jersey to Eugene and Virginia Beben. Linda's family moved to Tempe Arizona when she was 9 and had a wonderful childhood. She graduated from Marcos de Niza High School where she was the coronation queen, as well as chosen for Girls State representative. She received her Associates degree from Mesa Community College.
Linda met Merle McDonald in the halls of MCC, and they married on January 7, 1978. Linda and Merle soon started their lives together devoted to God and family. Merle enlisted in the United States Army and lived in Fort Lee Virginia, Tacoma Washington, and Hanau Germany.
Linda loved her family, friends and her faith. Linda was part of the original founders of the Eucharistic Congress in the diocese of Phoenix and an active member of the Altar Society at St. Mary's Catholic Church. As a mother, she focused on building a epic foundation of faith and moral upbringing for her children. Making sacrifices for them to attend St Mary-Basha, Seton Catholic Prep, as well as homeschooling children. As a friend, she naturally shared her loving spirit with whom all she met and maintained lifelong friendships. As a mentor, she was everyone's spiritual warrior and advisor through both good and bad times. As a teacher, she led by example in her prayer, childbearing, and her patience. As a cheerleader, she cheered for her children during baseball, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, and of course football. She had the most powerful voice from the
