From Lichtenstein’s perspective and being a nobleman most anything the peasants did came out as evil and rebellious. The mass immigration to the United States in the late 1800s to early 1900s, welcomed the idea of equal opportunity for Eastern European Jewish women, and demanded them to change their Jewish tradition. Under the traditional Eastern European Jewish society, education affected the role of the genders. While boys growing up learned to read Hebrew, to pray, to be leaders in the community. A girl learned to take care of her mother’s chores, learned about basic math, communication skills grow up to manage the house and make living to support her husband’s education. Her family sent her out to the US during the mass immigration, to earn enough income for her family not expecting a change in tradition.

The dragon was well designed and constructed. The next marching band was the Blackcats from Goreville, Illinois. The first group of this band was the flutes followed by the clarinets, the saxophones, the trumpets, trombones, and drums. What has called my attention from this marching band was that almost all the players are girls. There are 12 boys, and 20 girls in this band.
In the short story “The Cask of Amontillado”, Edgar Allan Poe uses hyperboles to develop a theme of revenge and retaliation in the plot. Montressor commits much time to bring across “the thousand injuries [for] Fortunato, ...but when [Fortunato] ventured upon insult” Montresor deems revenge (Poe, 1). In this device of a hyperbole which is implied in the hook of the story, the tone and theme of the plot is already starting to set. The over-exaggeration of the many injuries Montresor says he has set up for Fortunato, and the addition of the insults Fortunato provides already describe the disputes between the two.
Leadership: taking the initiative to establish a clear vision, share it with those whom are being led a certain direction, and coordinating all interests to accomplish glorious victories. A drum major is not simply the person who conducts the marching band, they are the one responsible for taking on a magnificent leadership role; they must be role model for all of its members and it is their job to make each and every member feel valued, no matter what their position may be. As a drum major, I would strive to lead the East Haven High School North Branford High School Co-op marching band to victory on and off the field. These elements were shown through body, energy, action, time and space. For instance, the dancers in the beginning were using their bodies to show that they were confident. The character’s head was up, chest out and back arched, as they moved to show their feelings. Likewise, the energy aspect of the dancing was shown through the explosiveness of the movements.

It’s a perfect night for a concert, warm, calm, and overall elegant. On Friday, September 11 in the Nightingale Concert Hall, a fabulously performed concert called the Argenta Concert Series, The Fifth Anniversary Season, directed by Dmitri Atapine and Hyeyeon Park, took place. In this performance the following musicians performed; Stephanie Sant’Ambrogio on the violin, Dustin Budish on the viola, and James Winn on the piano. Not only that, there was also a guest appearance by Jonah Kim on the cello. Although not the best turnout, there was still a decent audience.
