The importance of an electrical lineman is huge, not only in the community but also throughout most of the world. Their education, training, and correct use of equipment help them in their different and dangerous work conditions to accomplish the tasks of providing power to their communities.
To be a lineman one would first have to go through an accredited apprenticeship program. The apprenticeship program consists of about 7,000 hours of on the job training and on top of that there are four books to be tested on.
