Literacy, the ability to read and write effectively, has been a big aspect of my life journey, forming both my past and present while also having a big influence on my future aspirations. From early childhood to the present day, developing my literacy skills has always been a challenging process that has helped me with personal growth, academic achievements, and professional ambitions. My journey into literacy began in my childhood home. I was introduced to books at a young age, where bedtime stories sparked my imagination and started a love for storytelling. These early experiences laid the groundwork for my literacy development, as I absorbed new words and concepts, gradually transitioning from picture books to more complex books and stories. As a student, I engage with diverse texts across various disciplines, from scientific journals to literary classics. Each reading experience broadens my knowledge base and increases my analytical skills, equipping me to navigate complex ideas and contribute meaningfully to discussions. Furthermore, writing has become a part of my daily routine. Whether I am writing academic papers like this one, crafting persuasive arguments, or I recognize the transformative impact of clear communication. Writing not only allows me to communicate effectively, but also allows introspection and refinement of my own thoughts and beliefs. In a digital age, literacy extends beyond traditional boundaries. Social media platforms and online forums like TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, and Reddit provide avenues for collaborative learning and global connectivity.
