A lie cannot live
But the truth is immortal
You tell lie after lie to cover your path
But one day, you will face your own wrath of a thousand suns

The literal meaning of this stanza is that a lie will not last long, but the truth will stay forever. In other words, if you tell a lie, then eventually, you will be caught one day for telling it, but the word of truth lasts forever. Also, the lies you tell will lead to your status being lost. Finally, it mentions that once lying has ruined your reputation, the day that you are in trouble will be because of your lies which have ruined your reputation.
The implied meaning of the stanza is that telling lies will trouble you and that it will make it very difficult for you to do good things and be successful. In addition, your lies will only bring you down and have a detrimental effect on your status.

I recall the atrocious event in which I had told many dreadful lies
I had blamed my sister to cover my tracks just like the Momus who had blamed others
But soon, all was revealed
And my parents trust was the forest blazed by my lies

The literal meaning of this stanza is that the author recalls a moment in his life in which he told many lies and ended up blaming his sister to cover his path, just like the Greek god Momus. However, his lies are eventually revealed and had lead to his parents not trusting him …show more content…

In addition, it was very embarrassing and unencouraging when everything was revealed. Telling lies had only had a negative effect on his performance.
The implied meaning of the stanza is that when your lies are revealed, the feeling of being caught and having everything revealed is not a good one because you will be frowned upon and you will regret what you have done. Also, the way you do things will be affected if you continue to tell lies as if you try aim to do something good, but lie to achieve that aim, the you will never end up achieving it.

The guilt and shame had sprouted from within
From my heart to my skin
My life had turned upside down
And my smile turned to a frown

The literal meaning of the stanza is that the feeling guilt and shame was present in the person’s heart but had spread from his heart to his skin. Also, his life and smile where both inverted from happy to
