Romeo and Juliet Literary Analysis William Shakespeare is an excellent author who wrote many playwrights and one of his most famous one is Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet are two young lovers but cannot be together because of rival families. The two fall in love almost instantly and it had fatal consequences in the end. The play Romeo and Juliet exemplifies the danger of love where two people become everything to each other instantaneously. Romeo and Juliet first meet at the Capulet's party,where they instantly fall in love and kiss. Following the kiss Romeo finds out Juliet is a Capulet “Is she a Capulet?/O dear account! My life is my foe’s debt.” (1.5 131-132). We can already see a few traits in the just from how much they connected in the first moment of knowing each other. Traits include the hastiness and impulsiveness of Romeo and that young and innocent personality that Juliet has .Romeo and Juliet are obviously crushed by the news that there's no possible way they can be together, but that doesn’t stop them from trying. This attitude creates a “necessary need for them to be together” and that's what creates problems. Juliet does wake up and sees Romeo dead so she stabs herself because she doesn't want to be alive if Romeos not. Here we see more impulsive decisions made by both romeo and Juliet. Romeo sees immediately that Juliet is dead but he actually notices that she doesn't look dead “Beauty’s ensign yet/ Is crimson in thy lips and in thy cheeks,/ And death’s pale flag is not advancèd there.-” (5.3 94-96).
