The bomb dropped on Hiroshima (‘Little Boy’) caused 70,000 out of 350,000 people to die immediately, and 70,000 more people died of radiation and other long term effects within five years. The U.S should not have used the atomic bomb to cause Japan to surrender because Japan was already out numbered, it cost too many innocent lives, and was too expensive. In fact, many children, were orphaned because their parents died during the bomb.
