Little Shop of Horrors Little Shop of Horrors is the third – longest- running musical comedy in off- Broadway shows. Book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken. I watched the movie version from 1960 with Rick Moranis as Seymour. “Little Shop of Horrors” has become a highly successful film version. The 1982 play, Little Shop of Horrors, is one of the successful comedies. The play, Little Shop of Horrors, is based on Roger Corman's 1960 science fiction movie which is best known for having been filed in under a week. this movie is a comedic story of a man-eating plant.
Story:
Little Shop of Horrors is a musical love story, but also a warning of what can happen if you do anything to get what you want. Seymour finds out about the special plant and discovers that this plant is fed human blood. He hopes everything will go right for him. This ultimately backfires on him, at the time that his new reputation overpowers him, and he must destroy the plant that gave him the fame.
Seymour is an innocent orphan working at a flower shop in Sid Row. he is criticized by Mr. Muchnik, the owner of the flower shop, daily and have a dream about coworker, Audrey. Audrey II tells Seymour “If I can talk, and I can move, who’s to say I can do anything I want, ” and to make a success for Seymour, it needs blood. Seymour doesn’t want to kill people, at first “I have so, so many strong reservations ," but, when Audrey II makes Seymour think of a person who can be “plant food,” then Seymour thinks of Orin Scrivello, the abusive dentist boyfriend, of Seymour love, Audrey. Now, there is a motivation for Seymour to kill Orin Scrivello and feed him to Audrey II, who will give Seymour anything he wants. The point of the song is to make Seymour kill people to feed Audrey
